We are looking for a Dairy Farm Assistant to work on a 440-cow farm in Huntly west, milking through a 34cups HB shed. While previous experience is preferred, it is not required for this role. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding  fencing, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows setting fences operating farm machinery and other general farm duties. Candidates are required to provide good related references.  To be considered you must: provide a CV which is current, correct and complete or alternative evidence of work . be a solid worker and with good character (where possible, we will do a criminal check) be physically fit be able to pass a pre-employment drug test have at least a restricted driver licence

To assist farm manager in day to day running of farm , including milking, calf rearing, feeding out, and general day to day repairs and maintenance. farm is 15 minutes south of hamilton farm is flat with a 26ashide herringbone shed with alflex collars and auto teatspray and drafting. limited accommodation as would be sharing with other staff , would ideally suit single person or drive in. Looking for an experienced calf rearer for the calving season. This is a drive in position, no accommodation available on farm.  Farm is located 10 minutes from Matamata on the Kaimai range. Close proximity to Morrinsville, Te Poi, Walton and Te Aroha.  Required for 8 weeks from 25th July till the middle of September.  Rearing 130 replacement calves and around 40 beef calves.  Ad-lib milk feeding system.  Good infrastructure.  Roughly 3-3.5 hours in the morning + 1.5-2 hours in the afternoon.  Must be able to work weekends to help cover staff time off.
