Calf Rearing position We are located in Tisbury 5-minute drive from south Invercargill. We will be rearing approximately 250-300 replacement calves with the rest going to bobbies. You will be working alongside an awesome team. Ideally the candidate will have experience calf rearing, a good attitude and the ability to work efficiently unsupervised. We offer excellent facilities and equipment, good team culture and are willing to pay well for the right person. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable calf rearer to join our team for the upcoming calving season on our 650-cow dairy farm, located in Dacre (just 20 minutes from Invercargill). This is a sole calf rearer role, with regular support from the herd owner to help ensure workloads are manageable. Weekend work is covered by the herd owner or can be negotiated. The Role Rearing approximately 165–180 replacement calves, with the remainder sent as bobbies Calves fed twice daily initially, transitioning to once-a-day feeding Monitoring calf health and wellbeing Maintaining tidy and accurate records Keeping calf sheds clean, organised, and hygienic What We’re Looking For A patient and caring approach to animals Good observation skills and attention to detail Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work independently with support when needed Experience preferred but not essential – training provided for the right person About the Farm...
