Farm Assistant wanted to join our team  We are on the lookout for a farm assistant with a minimum of 1 years experience working on a New Zealand dairy farm. Dukefield Farm is fully irrigated using pivots, fixed grid and a small area of K-Line. We peak milk 960 kiwi-cross cows through a 50 bale rotary with ACRs & in bale teat spray. We are running Allflex collars & Protrack in shed feeding. We are looking for someone who: Has strong attention to detail, good animal health skills - can identify cows with mastitis and lameness. A good understanding of the general procedures during calving time. Must be confident in the cowshed, milking alone, setting up shed, wash etc. Keeping the farm and cowshed clean and tidy and to a high standard is a priority, Dukefeild takes pride in being presentable.  Able to follow instructions and plans set by the Manager & 2IC.
