We require an honest reliable Herd Manager to join our team in Southland. 2 years experience  or a qualification Level 4 or above required . Understands and takes responsibility for daily tasks such as running of the dairy, effluent management and feeding. Completes tasks with minimal supervision and can supervise and train other staff. Looks for opportunities to work more effectively and efficiently to improve the business.   Duties include but not limited to Milking: Manages an efficient and hygienic milking routine Animals: Manages safe handling of animals, records, reports and treat, any health issue   Feed: Controls weeds. Sets break fences and feeds out as directed. Environment: Assists with nutrients, effluent and water management People: Manages junior farm staff. Works well with others, building a strong team culture Machinery Vehicles and Technology: Safely uses and maintains plant and farm vehicles. Pay rate is $30 - $35 per hour....

Hey guys have a couple of positions available on our 990 cow farm in riverton southland. Modern cowshed with all the goodies.  Looking for 2-3 full time staff for this season. Couple of houses available. Must be competent in animal health, pasture managment, working while owner is away. And general managment of a farm this size. If this sound like you please apply.
