We have the opportunity for an additional team member to assist on our 750 dairy farm at Tahuna, 20kms north of Morrinsville. The position is for a fixed term 4 month term July - October. If you are a couple it is possible that we will have work for you both.  Duties will primarily be calf rearing & associated tasks, however there will be some milking & general farm work required. No specific farming experience is necessary, although the ability show initiative & face the challenge of learning new skills with confidence is a must.  

We are seeking two experienced farm workers (12+ months’) to work as Herd Managers on an 850-cow farm in the Morrinsville area, milking through a 50 Aside Herringbone shed. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking and monitoring milk quality, - stock handling and feeding (feed mgt), - fencing, weed control, - calving, calf rearing, - shed maintenance & preparation, - tractor operation for feeding out, baling, mowing and silage - monitoring, recording and maintaining animal health - and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 35 and a maximum of 35. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid   at the agreed overtime rate.   The schedule may vary but generally work hours are between 5am and go through 5pm with meal and rest...

We have an opportunity for a casual staff member to help us on our two farms over the calving and mating period (July-Dec). We have two dairy farms both running 300 cows located 10mins North of Morrinsville. The role will mainly involve milking and some small duties either side of milking like collecting cows or cleaning up. The hours will be roughly 20-30hrs per week and are to help during the days staff are rostered off, you will most likely be working directly with the farm owner.
