We have the opportunity for an additional team member to assist on our 750 dairy farm at Tahuna, 20kms north of Morrinsville. The position is for a fixed term 4 month term July - October. If you are a couple it is possible that we will have work for you both.  Duties will primarily be calf rearing & associated tasks, however there will be some milking & general farm work required. No specific farming experience is necessary, although the ability show initiative & face the challenge of learning new skills with confidence is a must.  

We are seeking two experienced farm workers (12+ months’) to work as Herd Managers on an 850-cow farm in the Morrinsville area, milking through a 50 Aside Herringbone shed. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking and monitoring milk quality, - stock handling and feeding (feed mgt), - fencing, weed control, - calving, calf rearing, - shed maintenance & preparation, - tractor operation for feeding out, baling, mowing and silage - monitoring, recording and maintaining animal health - and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 35 and a maximum of 35.
