We are requiring a new person to join our team for the 26/27 season.  This position could be good for someone who is a farm assistant looking to move to a herd manager position. You will need to have a minimum of 2.5 years of Nz dairy experience, preferably on large herd farms.  Our farm is situated halfway between Methven and Ashburton.  We are fully irrigated and run a 54 bail shed. Situated just eight minutes from central Methven and only one kilometre from the Mt Hutt access road, we are looking for a staff member to join our team for a period of three to four months beginning in mid-July. Our operation involves milking 690 cows using a 40-aside herringbone shed, supported by robust systems and a dedicated support team. There is potential for this position to evolve into an ongoing relief milking contract for the remainder of the season. Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and able to provide strong references. The ability to ride a two-wheel motorbike is required, and prior experience operating a tractor and silage wagon would be advantageous.
