740 cows milking through a 54 bail waikato rotary cow shed  afimilk computer system in the cowshed with auto drafting halter collars bail gates, cup removers, auto teat spray,auto wash,  spring calving, high input system 5 feed pad , mixer wagon , in shed feeding  modern well maintained equipment the farm is used only as a milking platform with no young stock,  milking 365 days with a dry period of 50 days per cow before calving half the herd goes off farm for there dry period  this is a busy farm with never a dull moment , we are high input feeding and there is a workload associated with this system. there is a lot of modern technology to use and learn with the halter collars , afimilk system in the shed and monitoring systems  a strong work ethic and an ability to work well in a team environment , must be a self starter and able to problem solve and think on your feet to over come daily challenges  minimum 3 years experience with 3 good references , New...

Looking for an experienced calf rearer for the calving season. This is a drive in position, no accommodation available on farm.  Farm is located 10 minutes from Matamata on the Kaimai range. Close proximity to Morrinsville, Te Poi, Walton and Te Aroha.  Required for 8 weeks from 25th July till the middle of September.  Rearing 130 replacement calves and around 40 beef calves.  Ad-lib milk feeding system.  Good infrastructure.  Roughly 3-3.5 hours in the morning + 1.5-2 hours in the afternoon.  Must be able to work weekends to help cover staff time off. All negotiable.
