What we are looking for Working closely with the Farm Manager, you will assist in the day-to-day running of a family run dairy platform. This is a hands on role requiring strong leadership skills and the ability to manage daily farm operations when required. Expectations Minimum 4 years New Zealand dairy farming experience, including previous Herd Manager or Assistant Manager roles. The successful applicant will have strong animal health and stock handling skills, be an effective communicator and team player and is confident with tractor work, feeding out, and fencing. Experience in using modern dairy technology including Protrack/Minda, in shed feeding systems, auto drafting, Allflex collars, and milk meters is preferred 

We require an honest reliable farm assistant to join our team in Lumsden. Previous experience preferred however a qualification relevant to agriculture may be accepted as a substitute for experience. Duties include but not limited to Milking: Assists with efficent and hygienic milking routine Animals: Assists in safe handling of animals, records, reports and treat, any health issue   Feed: Controls weeds. Sets break fences and feeds out as directed. Environment: Assists with nutrients, effluent and water management People: Works well with others, building a strong team culture Machinery Vehicles and Technology: Safely uses and maintains plant and farm vehicles. Pay rate is $26 - $29 per hour. Minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed. Applicants must have a criminal free record.
