We require a Herd Manager in Tirohanga for this 700 cow farm on 280 hectares.  WE run a 54 bale rotary shed. You must have a minimum of 2 years experience.  Your duties include but are not limited to milking cows, solving milk quality issues, shed hygiene, Animal Health, Keeping animal health records up to date, effluent management and feeding. The ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision and can supervise and train other staff.  Looks for opportunites to work more effectively and efficiently to improve the business. Roster 11 on 3 off. Accommodation is one bedroom cottage Minimum 30 hours guaranteed. No dogs on farm You must have a clear criminal record. You must pass a drug and alcohol - pre-employment  check and ongong random drug testing. You must have a driving license We would prefer you live on farm due to the requirements of the job.
