We require a experienced (2 years) Herd Manager to join our great team here in Hororata. We operate a 800 cow dairy farm through a 50ASHB. We have 3 full time staff members and are looking for the right person to fill the 4th position.  You'll have a range of duties that you will do: Milking and monitoring milk quality Stock handling and feeding Fencing and weed control Assisting in calving Shed maintenance & preparation Tractor operation for feeding out Monitoring, recording and maintaining animal health Weekly hours are a minimum of 30, with an average of 40 and a maximum of 45. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid  at the agreed overtime rate.
