Dairy Farm Assistant (Temple View) 3470MV

We have a position available for a Dairy Farm Assistant on a 460-cow farm in the Temple View area, approximately 10–15 minutes west of Hamilton. The farm operates a 27 Aside Herringbone milking shed. Previous experience is preferred but not required for this role. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking twice a day - shifting cows and feeding  - fencing, weed control - calving, calf rearing - shed cleaning and setup - identifying and alerting managers to sick cows - Setting fences - and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 30, with an average of 40 and a maximum of 50. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid   at the agreed overtime rate.   The schedule may vary; Roster will be 7 days on, 2 days off throughout the year....
