We require an honest reliable farm assistant to join our team in Southland. 6 - 12 months experience preferred however a qualification relevant to agriculture may be accepted as a substitute for experience. Duties include but not limited to Milking: Assists with efficient and hygienic milking routine Animals: Assists in safe handling of animals, records, reports and treat, any health issue   Feed: Controls weeds. Sets break fences and feeds out as directed. Environment: Assists with nutrients, effluent and water management People: Works well with others, building a strong team culture Machinery Vehicles and Technology: Safely uses and maintains plant and farm vehicles. Pay rate is $27 - $30 per hour. Minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed. Applicants must have a criminal free record and a current drivers licence. Job Description  We are looking for a Farm Assistant to work on 143 hectares farm, milking 440 crossbreed cows under a System 2-3. This is a unique and efficient shed, milking the girls through a 36aside herringbone with ACR and auto teat spraying supported by a barn that holds 250 cows.
