Releif milker required for the 26/27 due to current reliever unable to continue on.  350 cows, Inshed feeding, alflex collars and automatic drafting. Flat to rolling country.  The relief milker will be required for 3-4 days a week from the 1st of September until the 31st of May 2027.  Accommodation can be provided at $250 pw, deducted from wages (power and internet included) 3 bedroom warm home, new carpet, garage and a fully fenced section. Farm is located in ohakune, friendly quiet cows. No experience needed, and extra work can be available during calving and busy periods.  This is fixed term only for one season. We have an opportunity for a casual staff member to help us on our two farms over the calving and mating period (July-Dec). We have two dairy farms both running 300 cows located 10mins North of Morrinsville. The role will mainly involve milking and some small duties either side of milking like collecting cows or cleaning up. The hours will be roughly 20-30hrs per week and are to help during the days staff are rostered off, you will most likely be working directly with the farm owner. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Relief Milker with at least 6+ months' experience for a 7-month fixed term position from July 2026 to February 2027. This role is on a 650-cow farm in the Dacre area, milking through a modern 60 Bail Rotary shed with Waikato Milking Systems equipment. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: - Milking cows - Ensuring milk quality and hygiene standards - Operating and monitoring the milking system - Following animal welfare and farm safety procedures - Identifying and alerting managers to sick cows - Cleaning and maintaining the shed and equipment - and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 30, with an average of 50 and a maximum of 60. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid   at the agreed overtime rate....

Hi there, We run a 300 cow farm near Manaia, Taranaki. We have outstanding facilities and farm on flat productive land. Our cows are high producing Freisan cross cows who are quiet and a pleasure to work with. The farm is 300 cows milked through a 44 bail rotary, cup removers, protrack, fully automated, one person shed. This farm is run by an awesome Manager. We are looking for someone to join our great team to cover time off throughout the season, and also assist at calving time with cows and calves in. Generally rostered on 12:2 for milkings, Saturday and Sunday every second weekend up until November. Then 11:3 roster from November to dry off time, so then Friday to Sunday milking every second weekend.   The position is drive in, there is no available accommodation on the farm.
