Daisyburn Dairies Ltd is on the hunt for a motivated, reliable and skilled calf rearer for the upcoming season. We are a well-established 700 cow dairy unit milking predominantly Friesen cross cows. The role will be sole calf rearer for 175 replacement heifer calves in addition to beef calves and bobbys to 4 days old. Ideally the right candidate will have 1-2 years calf rearing experience, and be able to work independently however, will have plentiful support from the manager and the two farm assistants.   Key responsibilities: -       Maintaining clean and hygienic practises in the calf shed -       Identifying health issues with calves and communicating concerns -       Preparing and distributing milk, meal and hay feeds -       Assisting with general farm duties -       Additional opportunity of relief milking 2-3 times a fortnight for the right person The role is available from August through to November but could be extended....
