Windley Lands LTD is looking for a new team member to join 2 other people in the day to day running of our runoff block. Located 15kms out of Mossburn  Windley is a large scale operation with flat/rolling and some steep land that deals with calves, heifers, bulls and dry cows.  You will be working along side the farm manager and 2IC to provide the best environment for animals to thrive for the future.  Job entails  Shifting stock - temporary fences Wintering- winding up and setting fences, tractor driving etc. Yard work - Drenching, weighing, loading and unloading stock. Animal health, treating and recording. Tractor driving - Feeding silage, loading unloading bales. We provide a 2 bedroom cottage, heat pump, double glazed windows. We ride 2 wheelers on farm so some experience on 2 wheelers is preferred. We lease two farms in Southland, the larger being located at Redan where most of the stock work is required and another in Winton as well as the family farm in Woodlands that we don’t handle the day to day operations of but work in closely with and where most of the engineering related tasks are carried out. We like to do most farm related tasks in house and to a high standard avoiding out sourcing work where possible. This includes servicing and maintenance of farm machinery. Due to an increased workload we are looking for a skilled individual to step in for some regular part time work so that we can continue to farm at a high standard.
