The successful applicant will have good stock knowledge and experience in dairy farming an advantage. We are looking for an experienced farm worker (2+ years) to work as a Herd Manager on a 700-cow farm in the Ashburton area. The farm is located  10-15 minutes to Ashburton, 30 minutes from Mt Hutt Ski Field and milking through a 54 Rotary Bale shed . An opportunity has become available on our 500 cow dairy farm to join us as our Senior Herd Manager. This role involves looking after our 500 cows both in the milking shed and in the paddock. We are Spring calving and milk through a 54 bale rotary with ACRs. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience on a grass based dairy farm with references to show competency in animal health and milking plant maintenance.
