Farm is located 15 mins to Pahiatua, and 30 mins to Palmerston North. Split Calving - approx 150 Autumn Peak milk 400 -450 cows, through a 40 ASHB with ACR's, in shed feeding and automated wash system. Must be capable of sole charge milking's when required. The successful applicant will get a variety of work, ie: from checking on young stock, feeding out, fencing, mowing grass silage, feeding calves, animal health etc. So, communication is a must with progressive sharemilkers. Current work roster is 8:2,  (8 on 2 off) this can be negiotable.

The role is split between two rotary dairy sheds and includes milking duties along with general day-to-day farm tasks. We milk 420-430 Friesian cows through a new 50 bale rotary shed, located 5 minutes east of Eltham. We require someone who is passionate about farming and who is keen to learn more about the industry. You will be required to undertake and be involved in general farming duties including milking, dairy hygiene, weed control, animal health, feeding out and general maintenance. You must be honest and reliable, and have excellent time management skills. Our team is made up of 3 full time workers (employer included). Time off will be every second weekend.
