This role involves in helping with the day to day operation, including milking, animal health, feeding and general farm duties.  This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, being part of a team. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.  Farm description:  -peak 500 cows -system 4 -split calving -auto drafting  -auto cup removers -bovinic inline sensors -halter -in-shed feeding Tractor skills is a must as tractors are driven daily 4 on farm staff plus a calf rearer  Within 5 mins of Palmerston North

We milk 420-430 Friesian cows through a new 50 bale rotary shed, located 5 minutes east of Eltham. We require someone who is passionate about farming and who is keen to learn more about the industry. You will be required to undertake and be involved in general farming duties including milking, dairy hygiene, weed control, animal health, feeding out and general maintenance. You must be honest and reliable, and have excellent time management skills. Our team is made up of 3 full time workers (employer included). Time off will be every second weekend.
