We’re looking for a motivated and reliable person to join our split-calving dairy farm, located 10 minutes from Mangawhai and Kaiwaka. Close to excellent amenities and beaches for fishing, surfing and swimming. Support block nearby. Our 30-aside modern herringbone shed is equipped with ACRs. The role involves milking, calf rearing, stock work, tractor operation, and general farm duties. Experience is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential. Full training can be provided. We are seeking an experienced Dairy Farm Assistant to help with the day to day running of our 300 cow farm located just 5 minutes from Dargaville. School bus at gate. We seasonally supply milk through a 27 aside HB shed. We run a high-producing grass-based system feeding palm kernel, grass silage, hay and summer crops. Duties include milking and feeding cows, calf rearing, stock work, fencing and general farm maintenance and the making of silage and hay.  You'll be working with me (the farm owner) and one other full-time staff member. Attributes we value are: good stockmanship, honesty, reliability, a genuine and strong desire to progress in the dairy industry, an eye for detail and doing things right the first time. Ideally, you will have 2+ seasons of experience and a current full driver's licence.
