We are seeking two (2) Dairy Farm Assistants with at least 6 months' dairy farm experience to work on a 650 and 700-cow farm in the Okaihau and Kerikeri area, milking through a 40 and 35 Aside Herringbone sheds. You'll have a range of duties to keep you busy, interested and developing including: Milking twice a day shifting cows and feeding  fencing, weed control calving, calf rearing shed cleaning and setup identifying and alerting managers to sick cows Setting fences and other general farm duties. Weekly hours are a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 40. Since farm work is dependent on a number of unknown factors like weather and animals, any hours worked beyond the agreed maximum in a fortnightly pay period will be paid   at the agreed overtime rate.   The schedule may vary; Roster will be 13 days on, 3 days off throughout the year. We are on the lookout for two staff members to join our small team based 20 minutes out of invercargill in Southland My partner and I contract milk two farms two minutes apart milking 420 spring calving friesian cows on each farm. We are looking for a 2ic and a farm assistant for the upcoming season starting June the 1st. Though we would be happy for someone to start earlier than this. Both farms have excellent infrastructure and machinery including a 40 aside herring-bone and 50 bail rotary sheds with acrs, in shed feeding and automated wash and drafting systems. Hi we are a 970 cow farm in Waikite Valley 20 minutes south of Rotorua made up with 2 cowsheds. We are looking for 2 Fulltime Dairy Farm Assistants to work alongside our farm managers on each farm. A couple of people that are prepared to do an honest days work and able to work in a team environment, putting effort in and working for each other achieving the same goals. One farm runs the young herd and the other farm runs the older cows.
