This is a drive in position, to cover days off - We’re looking for an experienced, capable person  This is a hands-on role with a bit of everything – full-time calf rearing through spring, plus relief milking and tractor work across the season to cover days off The setup: – 300 cow farm (38 aside herringbone) – relief milking, feeding calves, feeding out The role: – Relief milking to cover rostered days off – Feeding out and general farm jobs – Tractor work (cultivating, etc.) What we’re after: – Competent milker in herringbone sheds – Comfortable on tractors and general machinery – Good time management – able to plan your day and get through the work – Easy to work with, respectful, and good with people —Proven experience with calf rearing (confident running it solo)

The Dairy Calf Rearer will report to the Farm Manager as a member of the farm and production team. The key relationships you will have on-farm as a Dairy Calf Rearer will be with: • Dairy Farm Manager • Dairy farm team members including casuals • Health, safety and quality advisors Externally, your key relationships will be with: • Milk processing company staff • Farm maintenance contractors Health and Safety • Adhere to Pāmu’s Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times • Identify and report hazards/ danger, accidents, near misses, and property damage at work • Assist with the induction of new staff so that they are aware of company policies and how to do each task safely • Actively participate in activities associated with maintaining a safe and healthy workplace (e.g. training, intervening in unsafe practices, toolbox meetings, emergency preparedness) • Participate in all scheduled training and ensure current records of training are...

We are looking for a relief milker over our busy period August - February Start Date: August through February Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week Pay Rate: $28–$30 per hour, depending on experienced. Weekend work required Milking cows efficiently and in accordance with farm procedures Maintain high standards of animal health and welfare Identifying and reporting any health or production concerns Cleaning and maintaining milking shed and equipment Assist with feeding, stock movement and general farm duties as required We have a strict drug-free policy and value professionalism and safety. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Calving Season Assistant to join our dairy farm team from 1st August until mid-October , with the possibility of longer work if needed. This is a short-term seasonal role during our busy calving period and would suit someone who has an interest in dairy farming and is willing to learn. The role will involve: Picking up and caring for calves Feeding calves General farm work Helping with other day-to-day farm jobs as required Experience in dairy farming would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We are happy to hear from someone with a great attitude who is reliable, a quick learner, physically fit, and able to follow instructions. Good English communication skills are important.
