Calf Rearing Opportunity for Couple to Experience NZ Farming Life We are seeking a fit, active couple to assist our busy calving team for a period of three months, August to October 2026. We are a large dairy farm located between Colac Bay and Orepuke on the Western Southland Coast, 20 minutes from both Riverton and Tuatapere, and 50 minutes to Invercargill city. We rear 220 replacement heifers and 15 Jersey bulls, as well as 80 Herefords to a weaning weight of 100kgs and 650 bobby calves to four days old. We have sheltered calf rearing facilities, with a great set-up and excellent systems in place. You will need to enjoy working with animals, have good stock awareness and be observant by nature. You will be working in the outdoors and must be prepared to work in an all-weather, farming environment. We are looking for a super star calf rearer at Dacre 🐮 📍We are located 5mins from Edendale and 10 minutes to Woodlands. This is a drive in position. ▪️This is a Fixed term position from early August to end of October. ▪️We are looking for a motivated calf rearer to join our team rearing 180-200 replacement calves in addition to beef and bobby calves. ▪️Your Duties would be feeding calves, cleaning and daily calf care. We are looking for a calf rearer to help our team rear 200 replacment calves on our farm between otautau and woodlaw

We are seeking a reliable fixed term calf rearer to join our team for the calving season working 30 hours per week, for a fixed term period  August - February. Key duties include feeding and caring for calves, monitoring animal health, maintaining high hygiene standards in calf sheds and equipment, identifying and reporting unwell calves, assisting with tagging and treatments, and supporting safe animal handling practices.  Agriculture experience is preferred. The ideal applicant would be practical, observant, committed to animal welfare and able to follow health and saftety procedures. $25 - $30 per hour This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with animals in a hands om farm environment
