The role is split between two rotary dairy sheds and includes milking duties along with general day-to-day farm tasks. Brightview Farms are on the lookout for 3 Calf Rearers and Tractor Drivers for our sheep, beef and Dairy  support blocks. Our farming operation is located in Western Southland, with the Dairy and Drystock/Support blocks located within 5 minutes of the Wairio/Nightcaps area.  The operation consists four support blocks, 10,000 su support farm (600ha of support blocks and are within a 10 minute radius of the dairy farms. We are seeking a highly meticulous individual to assume the leadership role of Calf Rearer, supported by our existing farm personnel. This position entails the rearing of approximately 150 replacement heifer calves and 150 beef calves across two adjacent farms with twice-daily feeding responsibilities. The engagement is scheduled to commence on July 20th and conclude in October. The ideal work schedule for this role is a 6:1 rotation, including Sundays off. Additionally, there is an opportunity to undertake relief milking duties across both farms for the remainder of the season, should the candidate express interest. Please be advised that this is a drive-in position. Prospective candidates must possess a strong level of physical fitness, hold a valid New Zealand Working Visa, and currently reside within New Zealand.

Looking for a calf rearer to assist us over calving (1 July - 15 October). Will need to be confident and capable. Previous experience is preferred but the position can easily be learnt by someone willing. This position will involve rearing approximately 200 calves (milk, meal, hay and water) plus feeding bobbies. Will mostly be working autonomously, however there will be experienced staff nearby if help is needed. Could lead to more work on farm for the right person.

We are looking for someone to take the lead as a calf rearer, with assistance from our other farm staff. We will be rearing approximately 150 replacement heifer calves plus a few beef calves across two neighbouring farms. Position to start 13th July, for about 10 weeks.  Ideally a 6 : 1 position with Sundays off. There is also a possibility of taking on some relief milkings through the rest of the season if desired. Please note that this is a drive in position, or there could be potential for shared accomodation for a single person. Must be physically fit, have a NZ Working Visa and reside in NZ.
