Rate dependant on work experience Based a couple of minutes from Winchester  No Accommodation available at this point so is a drive in position Start 8am till about 12pm then afternoons 2pm to around 4pm - hours can alter slightly depending on number of calves that come in, or what the day brings.... 580 cow farm, 150 replacement heifers on auto feeders (basic computer knowledge required) Bobby's and bulls on manual feeders Teaching calves to drink Tube feeding new calves Pumping milk Cleaning feeders  And other general tasks involved with looking after calves. Roster usually runs every second weekend off but we work it out once we have a team (but thats the usual expectation) Need to be fit and reliable (available the whole 8-10 weeks), patient and caring towards animals. 

Looking for an enthusiastic, reliable Calf rearer to take charge of our 200 replacement heifers.   Located just 7minutes from both Washdyke and Temuka.  Experience is preferred, but training can be provided.  

We are looking for a calf rearer to come and join our team of 3. This role will have sole charge of rearing 150 heifer replacements, training is provided. There would also be the option to help with milking in the mornings.  We milk 610 cows through a 54-bale rotary with protrack with smaXtec animal monitoring. The roster is 6 days on and 2 days off, this could be negotiable. Position is from mid-late July through to mid-late September. A fully furnished one bedroom cottage is available on the farm.  Pay based on experience.  Please not the job is only for 8-10 weeks and applicant must have a visa to be able to work in New Zealand.

The focus is on attention to detail and healthy replacement and bobby calves as well as running an efficient calf rearing system. We are looking for a full time Calf Rearer  on our 510 cow dairy farm 5 mins out of Culverden. Calf rearing experience is a preference but not a must (training can be provided). Roster is 6 and 2, and the majority of the season you will be the sole person rearing the calves so you must be happy working on your own, have a good work ethic and be able to show initiative.  This is a full time role over calving, while relief milking work is available once the busy calving period is over. This is negotiable also.

we are looking for a reliable calf Rearer to join our team for the up coming calving season, some experience would be ideal as you will be working alone most of time, jobs would include tubing new born's ,teaching to feed on feeders, administering medication to any sick ones, we are an adlib farm so keeping feeding barrels and trophs clean to insure we dont get scours in the pens. Some extra work on farm may be available to make up hours at the start, that can be discussed at the interview. We can offer temporary accommodation just over calving if needed. You must have patience and a down to earth attitude, also have a love and kindness for animals.
