We are looking for an experienced calf rearer to help us grow our future super stars! We rear 600 calves and it does get very busy. Because animal welfare is a priority, we are looking someone with great attention to detail who doesn't cut corners and can detect issues before they become a problem. To be successful in this role you will need to be a patient and empathetic person, be able to drive a tractor and already have the right to work in nz (we will not transfer visas as this is a short term casual position).  This is a drive in position. We are located 10 minutes drive from Cambridge. 

DRIVE IN CALF REARER We have 450 cows to calve on our 104ha farm near Leamington, Cambridge, and we are looking for a calf rearer to join the team to take care of our calves while they are on farm. We will have a mixture of dairy replacements and dairy beef calves through the system. Previous experience in calf rearing is a must and have a real passion for looking after the health and wellbeing of every calf. It will be for approx. 5 hours per day until mid-September.  $26-$28/hr depending on experience. We are Contract milking 500 cows through an older rotary shed and are looking for a motivated and reliable person to help us ASAP with calving fast approaching.  Main duties will include milking, clean up and helping in the calf shed. We are open to different levels of experience and happy to train the right people. We can also create a couples role for the busy period. We are looking for someone to take the lead as a calf rearer, with assistance from our other farm staff.
