We are looking for an experienced calf rearer to join our team and help raise 300 replacements and possibly help with 150 beef calves. This contract can go out from July to December if wanted and discuss relief milk options also. We are 10mins south of hinds, 20 mins from Ashburton and 20 mins from Geraldine The candidate will have experience calf rearing, a good attitude, reliable and the ability to work efficiently unsupervised. We like having an efficient system that produces quality calves and good team culture. Having experience and ability to identify and manage sick calves is important. we are looking for a reliable calf Rearer to join our team for the up coming calving season, some experience would be ideal as you will be working alone most of time, jobs would include tubing new born's ,teaching to feed on feeders, administering medication to any sick ones, we are an adlib farm so keeping feeding barrels and trophs clean to insure we dont get scours in the pens. Some extra work on farm may be available to make up hours at the start, that can be discussed at the interview. We can offer temporary accommodation just over calving if needed. You must have patience and a down to earth attitude, also have a love and kindness for animals.
