Te Hou Farms are an award-winning farm, looking for an enthusiastic but humble assistant calf rearer who is flexible and able to help from Mid-July through to at least the start of October. You would be assisting our fantastically experienced head calf rearer with daily tasks. We pride ourselves on rearing healthy calves safely, and rear 1200 calves (dairy heifer replacements and beef calves) at a fully refurbished site with great facilities and brilliant equipment. These include drive through pen access, newborn heatlamps, lightweight Milkbar gate feeders, Stallion mixer-feeder wagons, and a custom designed 1000L combination milk-colostrum pod-all new in the last couple of seasons.
