I am looking for a 2IC or great assistant who could grow into the role. Someone who enjoys dairy farming, specifically milking cows and is energetic. Is capable of working alone and with others. Is not afraid of hard work. Has the ability to self manage. We milk up to 500 cows(2 herds generally) through a 24ashb. Predominately hill country. We are looking for an experienced 2ic who can competently drive a tractor on hills, (dairy platform is mostly flat/rolling) feed out, efficiently milk and is able to carry out general farm maintenance. We are an organic, regenerative farm also with 200 head of beef. Organic experience is not necessary but would be an advantage .Animal health and pasture management are priorities . Halter is being installed so experience with that would be useful as is experience with minda and dairy dairy . The job comes with a 2/3 bedroom barn/house . We pay power and Internet too . We are 12 mins from town with own beach and small boat available to use .

Assistant Manager (2IC) required for our 480 cow OAD farm with runoff near Awanui. We are looking for someone: -With the relevant Visa or residency/ citizenship.  -At least 2 full seasons experience on Nz farms.  -Somone who wants to grow in the role and is committed to the Dairy industry.  -Great team player to work alongside our manager and other staff.  -You don't need to be an expert but we do need good skills around milking in a herringbone shed, tractor operations, animal health knowledge and general farm maintenance.  If this sounds like you, we would love to receive you cv with references.
