Assistant Manager wanted to run the daily operation of a 750 cow farm near Riversdale, Southland. 60 bail rotary that sits on a flat to rolling contour. ACR, auto draft, in-shed feed, auto teat spray and cow collars. We are after someone with previous experience with the role or at least 5 years of dairy farming experience in New Zealand. Applicant need to have a strong animal health, pasture management and team leadership skill behind them.  The position is only open to all New Zealand permanent residents and citizens only. 2ic to assist contract milker as we run 700 cows through a 54 bale rotary with automatic teat spraying, auto drafting and in bail identification.  We need someone who is capable on a tractor with tasks including mowing, feeding out silage and balage, loading pke trailers and other tractor driving duties. Looking for someone who is competent in running dairy shed in contract milkers absence including animal treatments, lame cow identification, general farm maintainance and working with other staff members. We winter our own cows on nearby runoff so experience with shifting crop and feeding out would be ideal 

Due to genuine reasons, our client is looking for a manager or experienced 2IC to help run their 300 cow dairy farm near Tuatapere. Ideally we want someone who has a great attitude and the confidence and experience to make on farm decisions on a daily basis. You will have support from the owners and their team, and the farm has recently installed Halter. Excellent animal health and feeding skills are essential, as well as the ability to operate tractors and machinery. We value health and safety and great communication. Milking - Perform a efficient and hygienic milking routine.  Follow procedure to produce high quality milk.   Animals - perform safe handling of animals, report any health and welfare issues as per farm policy.  Moving and handling animals safely and observe and report on wellbeing of all classes of stock.       Feed - Set break fences and feeds out as directed.
