Our business specialises in clearing and removing animal bedding from sheds, so this is a hands-on role involving machinery operation and physical work. We’re looking for someone who: ● Can preferably operate a tractor / skid steer and other machinery ● Is physically fit and comfortable with manual labour ● Has a strong understanding of health and safety and can follow safe work procedures ● Is reliable, practical and has a good work ethic ● Can work well as part of a team ● Holds a current driver licence ● Can pass a pre-employment drug test Experience with farming, machinery or similar physical work would be an advantage, but reliability, safety and a willingness to get stuck in are most important. Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking for someone to join us on our Dairy Farm near Morrinsville. We are milking 300 crossbred cows on 107ha 15 minutes North of Morrinsville. We have a brand new 30 aside herringbone cowshed with automatic cup removers and auto yard wash. There is a tidy 3 bedroom home available. The farm is grass based with grass and grass silage as the main feeds so this is a great place to learn excellent pasture management. We do about 110,000kgMS per year and typically go OAD in January each year. We aim for best practice in every area especially cow health, incalf rates, SCC and youngstock rearing. We rear ~70 replacement calves and they stay on farm until 1st May. This is a great opportunity to work with the farm owners and set yourself up for a great career in dairying. MUST BE DRUG FREE 2 bed farm cottage avail, NOT suited for pets sorry.  Farm is situated 5 min from Tokoroa Township.  Applicants with a partner who's available and experienced with relief milking will be an advantage as there will be plenty of milking's available.  We are a husband and wife team, shed requires 2 people and we will be running 2 herds most of the season.   shed is a 30ASHB with ACR's and in shed feeding. Farm is mainly flat with some steeper paddocks by cowshed.  Roster can be discussed, and can be very flexible, we are thinking 7 on 3 off. work load is not massive and salary will reflect that.
