We are seeking a  high performing 50:50 Sharemilker for the start of the 2027/28 season. The farm currently milks 600 July-calving cows and is located 5 minutes from Otorohanga township. The farm is 188 ha milking platform on high fertility ash and peat soils. Milking through a 40 bail internal rotary shed with drafting facilities plus feed pad for 400 cows. Past production has averaged 244,000 MS over the past 6 years. The farm runs at a system 4 level with 350 t of PKE, 100 t Grass silage and 100 t Maize silage bought in. 16 ha of maize is grown on farm each year. The successful candidate will be honest and reliable with a strong work ethic, excellent all-round farm knowledge and a good ability to use initiative. After three formidable years consistently lifting production, the current sharemilkers are moving onto a new opportunity.  The farm is located 8km from Otorohanga in the northern King Country. Converted from a finishing farm around 20 years ago, it has modern infrastructure with a 54-bail rotary, feed pad and ancillary buildings.  Utilizing a system 3 with approx. 1500kgDM/cow purchased alongside maize grown on farm. Planned start of calving around the 20th July with a peak production of 389,000KGMS and a three-year average of 335,000KGMS from a cross bred herd (which may be available for purchase)  Young stock are grazed on owner's runoff.  A standard Federated Farmers contract is utilised.  The farm has three modern three-bedroom brick homes which are well maintained.  Otorohanga is a thriving rural town with good schooling options including Otorohanga College.
