Due to our Herdmanager leaving to continue with her travels , we are the hunt for a Herdmanager to join our young Kiwi team
780 cow farm in Hinds, Ashburton.
The farm is fully irrigated 20 minutes south of Ashburton with new pivots being built over winter, Cow manager also installed over winter ready for mating!
We peak milk 780 cows through a 50 bale shed, spring calving. Run a system 4 farm with a big emphasis on cow health and welfare and the team’s work / life balance.
1-2 years experience is needed for this role due to the time of the year but we love watching people grow in to their roles and a great attitude is really important to us.

As part of your job you will have an active role in managing pasture and animal health, we encourage the team to bring forward new ideas and implement when we can.

Isleworth Dairies is operated by Sharemilkers Ralph and Fluer Tompsett with the day to day being run by the manager. We are a high performing with cows achieving over 500kg/ms a cow.
We have the ethos on farm of 1% better everyday, cows are treated with the highest level of respect and system are regularly reviewed to make sure cows and people are thriving and happy.
We run a team of 4 plus a calf rearer.
All the cows are wintered off farm on fodder beat and kale on the farms adjoining run off
