Calving down 780 cows in spring, operational facilities include:
A 60-bail rotary dairy
ACR’s with auto in-bail teat spray.
Pro-track drafting with in-bail ID and Allflex collar monitoring.
In shed feeding (grain and molasses) with the individual feeding module.
The preferred applicant will be favourable if they have:
-have a minimum of 6-12 month experience in NZ farming
- have completed minimum Level 2 Dairy farming qualification
- have assisted with training of junior staff
- have experience with plant management
- have experience with pasture management
Key activities in this role with be milking cows, feed management, general care of stock, farm maintenance, stock records, staff management, health n safety and farm administration.
We are looking for an employee who are passionate about farming, are reliable and able to work well within a team environment. On farm accommodation is available which is up to healthy homes standard. A drug test may be requested prior to confirmation of starting this role. Our current team have been with us long term and we hope to fill these positions with employees looking for long term farm progression.
A salary for a minimum 40 hours per week will be worked with a maximum of 45 per week (paid above the salary).
