Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Herd Manager to join our great team on a well-equipped 2,000-cow dairy farm close to Geraldine.
The farm features:
- 100-bale rotary with mainly in-shed feeding
- Protrack and Allflex collars
- Pivot and fixed-grid irrigation
- Effluent applied through pivots
- Silage fed on the shoulders when required
- Excellent on- and off-farm training opportunities
- Great location with good local schooling and an awesome community
About You
We’re looking for someone with 3+ years’ dairy experience who is confident taking responsibility and leading key areas of the farm.
You’ll ideally have:
- Good experience using Protrack
- Strong animal health and treatment skills, with the ability to take ownership of this area
- Good stockmanship and attention to detail
- The confidence to lead and work well within an established team
- Shed maintenance experience would be a bonus
- Experience with Allflex collars would also be an advantage
