We are long-term sharemilkers running an 1100-cow farm on the Waitaki Plains, only 10 mins North of Oamaru- nice and close to town. We pride ourselves on our high standards of work and aim to farm towards industry best practice at all times. Our current team consists of long-term employees who have valuable knowledge and experience of the farm. Minimum of 1-year dairy experience is preferred. On and off-farm training will be provided, this position would suit someone who wants to make dairy farming a career. Duties include milking, setting up plant and yard, recognition and treatment of ill health in cows, wash down of plant/vat, general stock health, effluent and irrigation management.
