We require an honest and motivated person to join our team milking 450 cows through a 40 aside herringbone shed located in West Franklin. You must have a minimum of 6 months dairy farming experience with references to support this experience. The ability to work as a team member, common sense, excellent communication skills and a good attitude are also a must. Most importantly you must love animals.
MILKING: Managing milk harvesting to optimise quality, efficiency and yield, monitoring milk dockets and an ability to troubleshoot issues.
FEED: Monitoring pasture covers, feed intakes and cow condition. Discuss appropriate management with senior staff.
PEOPLE: Be able to work well with others, building a strong team culture.
MACHINERY, VEHICLES AND TECHNOLOGY: Must safely use and maintain vehicles on farm, as directed by farm policy.
HEALTH, SAFETY, & WELL-BEING. Must contribute to building a health, safety ans well-being culture and model this to other staff.

As part of our Company health and safety policy we do undertake initial and routine drug testing. You must have a clean criminal history. Do not be offended if we ask for a police report. This is a process we undertake as part of our on boarding process. Strictly no pets.
