We require a Herd Manager to assist our team milking 360 cows through a 36 aside herringbone shed.
Our contour is flat to steep rolling.
You must be confident on hills.
Duties include, but are not limited to: running the dairy efficiently, including milking cows twice daily, maintaining hygiene standars, assisting with milk quality issues - mastitis, lame etc. Eflluent Management and feeding of cows. You need to complete tasks to the highest standard with minimal supervision and supervise other staff when required.
We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Roster 11 days on - 3 days off
Averaging 49 hour weeks
Salary range between 80K - 90K inclusive
You must have a minimum of 1 year experience dairy farming in New Zealand
You must be drug free and pass regular ongoing drug testing
You must be a tidy person, we do house inspections bi-monthly.
No dogs on farm.
You must have a clean criminal record.
We are a non-smoking farm.
