We are seeking someone who is - Positive can-do attitude - Self-starter - Reliable and responsible The applicant will be required to minimum 3 years in the details below: - Have goat farming/milking work experience - Has mechanical experience (due to the number of farm machinery on the farm) - Mowing, spread and tractor work experience - Have good knowledge of goat husbandry and animal health - Have experience loading and operating a mixer wagon This job includes all daily operational daily tasks including feeding, milking, animal health, and effluent management. Some key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Assisting with the effective operation of all aspects of the milking process, including plant hygiene and somatic cell count, to maintain grade-free standards - Assisting with maintaining all farm animal records in an accurate and timely manner - In charge of animal health programs to maintain the good health of our stock - Overseeing the rearing program to achieve minimal losses - Rearing animals to the target weights so only quality young stock re-enter the herd - Responsible for the maintenance of all farm equipment. We are looking for a supervisor who is motivated, has a good work ethic, and want to succeed within the industry - Have a passion for all things farming in particular animal health and husbandry and breeding programs. Has attention to detail - as we are a high-input farming system - Can align with our key values on the farm The average hours of work per week are 40 hours. We will offer a minimum of 40 hours per week and a maximum of 60 hours per week. Roster is 10 days on and 4 days off Hourly rate of $29 to $32 per hour
