Gladfield Dairies is a progressive, people-first dairy operation milking 1,500 cows through a modern 60-bail rotary.

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Herd Manager ready to step up, build confidence, and grow their skills alongside an experienced Farm Manager and supportive team.

The Role

You’ll work alongside the Farm Manager and team to:

  • Support daily farm operations

  • Help run efficient milking routines

  • Assist with animal health and stock performance

  • Learn to identify and troubleshoot issues

  • Operate machinery (ATVs, tractors, etc.)

  • Carry out general farm maintenance

This is a hands-on role suited to someone practical, reliable, and keen to build their career in dairying.

You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years dairy farming experience

  • Good understanding of stockmanship and animal health

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Strong work ethic and reliability

  • Knowledge and understanding with irrigation and shifting irrigators
  • Confidence operating basic farm machinery

  • High standards for shed hygiene and presentation

  • Full or restricted Class 1 driver licence
