We are looking for a Herd Manager for the 2026/2027 season
We are a family owned and operated farm based in West Eyreton, 20 mins from Rangiora and 35mins from Christchurch.
We milk 700 cows at peak in a 54-bail rotary shed with ACR's and in shed feeding
Platform is fully irrigated with pivots and k-line sprinklers in the corners
We have a very strong and energetic team that are easy and enjoyable to work with.
Machinery is up to date and well maintained, which helps to keep a smooth-running operation.
On farm jobs will include:
Milking
Feeding out/topping
Fencing
Animal Health
Treating lameness and mastitis
Organizing dairy shed including cow flow and staff training
The applicant will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the dairy industry, preferably on the same farm, with a strong willingness to learn and help others.
Must have excellent demonstration of cow health and feeding.
They will report to the farm manager so good English, communication and punctuality is a prerequisite
