We an opportunity for next season for an experienced farm manager.
The farm milks 1250 cows located 10 minutes from Geraldine
About the farm:
1250 jersey cows
54 bail rotary, in shed feeding and automatic cup removers
Irrigation through pivots and guns
Accommodation supplied on farm is either a 3 bedroom home or a 4 bedroom home.
The attributes ideally required for this position: • 4 years dairy farming experience in NZ • Be competent in the cowshed • Be able to identify and treat animal health issues • Competent using a tractor and riding motorbikes • Have top pasture allocation experience. Work well in a team and be able to lead the team • Physically able to carry out the job • Have the desire to succeed in the industry • Most importantly the successful applicant must be honest, reliable, good communication skills and motivated
