We are looking for a motivated person to join us this season as Herd Manager on a 300-hectare dairy farm located 20 minutes north of Oamaru, milking 1200 cows through a 54-bale rotary shed with ACRs.
This role complements our current team, working together in the day-to-day running of the dairy farm, including milking, animal health, calving, mating, pasture management, and general farm duties across two herds with split paddock allocations.
This position would suit someone with solid NZ dairy farming experience who is ready to take the next step up in their career. Applicants should have good animal husbandry skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
The role offers the flexibility to live in either a two-bedroom cottage or a fully fenced three-bedroom family home, with a school bus stop at the gate.
Applicants must have NZ driver’s licence and be able to pass police vetting and pre-employment, as well as random on-site, drug testing.
