This is a key leadership position supporting the farm manager in the day to day running of the farm involving.
-Animal health and pasture management.
-Milking operation and farm maintenance.
-Be able to be assisting with planning and reporting
-Be able to drive tractor and handle feeding out at pdks etc.
A minimum of 3 years farming with Farm Management Experience with strong leadership and communication skills. A Technology literate and confident in using modern farm systems. Must be reliable, proactive and able to work independently and as part of the team and must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
We are located in Omakau central Otago New Zealand. We are Milking 730 cows peak on a 54-bale rotary milfos system. The farm is irrigated with 2 pivots and parts was irrigated with Klines.
We use Protract and Sense hub Collar systems. The farm is 207 ha but 182ha effective.
