Weka Farming is on the lookout for a very capable farm manager/2IC to fill our unique but exciting position alongside a young farming family.
The existing farm business is a mix of sheep,beef and dairy support and has recently acquired the neighboring Dairy farm.
We are looking for an experienced person/couple to come on the journey with us to develop the best of the dry stock farm into the existing dairy platform.
The ideal candidate will have to have :
• Extensive knowledge of the Dairy industry.
• Impeccable knowledge of animal health, feeding and stockmanship.
• Be completely able to be in sole charge of the dairy farming business.
• Have a willingness to learn, teach and work alongside the current farm owners.
• Be excited by the unique opportunity we are offering to create a balanced, diverse and productive workplace and farm.
We have purchased a great quality herd of fresian cows to be milked through the 26 a side herringbone, with in shed feed and cup removers.
