We are in need of a farm assistant/assistant herd manager/herd manager to assist us for the 25/26 dairy season starting on June 1st or negotiable on later days. Our farm is located 10 mins to Milton and 14 mins to Balclutha. We peak milk 395 cows on a 40 bail herringbone shed with 30 set of cups with cup removers and a walk over teat spray. Our cows have allflex collar to assist in maintaining health and assist in mating together with protrack to lighten the work. You will work with the contract milker in all aspect of the job and will benefit on learning the ropes if you have a desire to step up someday.
Remuneration will be dependent on experience.
Two option for accommodation. 1 is a 3 bedroom house with heat pump and a fire place with 2 bay garage 1 bay with lockable roller door for a family and a newly built single mans cottage with double garage 1 with lockable roller door.
Many work option for partner in Balclutha like Silver fern and milk factories.
