We are looking for a part time relief milker and seasonal calf rearer to join our team. Based in Waihi, we farm on a flat 160Ha with 470 cows. We milk twice a day in a 36 aside herringbone.  We raise approx. 100 Heifer replacements annually. We have 4 bedroom accommodation available and looking for someone who would like to live on farm and milk on weekends, public holidays, and cover annual leave. We would also like an extra hand during herd tests and through the spring, or farm maintenance, if you wanted the extra hours. Experience with Calf Rearing would be fantastic and we could train you to be a key calf rearer in spring seeing calves through from birth to weaning.  Hours per week, and days per week can be negotiated - however your availability to work Saturdays and Sundays would be ideal since other full time employees have their rostered days off then.  Milking times are approx 5am -  8.30am and 2.00pm to 5.30pm (including collecting the cows and locking them away).
