The farm comprises of 315 effective hectares on rolling to steep topography. All cows are wintered on farm. 220 ha is milked on, with young stock grazing on the remainder.
Cows start calving from the 20th of July.
The cows are milked through a 40 ASHB.
We have a team of three full timers.
We are using Halter collar technology alongside management to get the best performance from the cows, pastures and people.
We are at a higher altitude so can be cold at times but there is a beautiful view of the Kawhia harbour. Which is a great fishing spot if your interested just 25 minutes away. Te Awamutu and Otorohanga our main service towns are about 30 minutes away. Ngutuni School is located just a handy 10 minutes away, with a bus going right past the gateway.
