The farm is Spring calving 580 cows in Cressy, within 40 mins of Launceston - the largest city in Northern Tasmania, with a Longford, 20 mins from the farm with all basic supplies (schools, supermarkets, garages etc).
The facilities are all of a high standard (4 year old 60 bale rotary with ACRs, new calf housing, two tractors).
Our feeding philosophy is simple, with a goal to maximise grass eaten before buying in feed, and ensuring cows are fully fed all year around. We are targeting in excess of 450kgMS per cow.
