Vindás and Þverholt dairy farms are seeking a New Zealand investor, sharefarmer or sharemilker to take on a 240 cow dairy farm in Iceland. All in shed feeding with 5 robotic milkers and beef finishing attached.
Spread calving with 4-5 cows calving per week. No early starts at 4am, breakfast at 8am, day starts at 8.30am. Supplements made on farm from June to September and brought in grain.
All domestic milk supplied to MS Dairies in Iceland, high value added products with milk pay out of $16.35/kg MS.
Pay out has never dropped, no droughts or calving during wet springs. Buildings comprise 4500 sqm for livestock, plant & machinery. Two dwellings, 3 and 6 bedroom.
Investment opportunity with long term contracts (10 years plus) is desired. Owners will provide support to the right candiates to acquire further shareholding and investment in property. Easy way to farm ownership for those prepared to relocate.
Farm take over is flexible as full milk price is settled on 10th of month following supply.
